MLM Recruiting - How To Recruit At Parties

How's it going?  Very good I hope. I'll be touching on a unique subject today.  It's about how you can use some simple strategies to recruit people at social events. I'm talking things like Halloween parties and even the good old homecoming parties. To be honest with you - I had some major writer's block today.  So in classic fashion I called up some friends so that I could relax and clear my mind, and the next thing you know - I'm at a birthday party! So that kind of got me thinking - how could I recruit people at these kinds of parties for my business? It may even seem a bit opportunistic to you - but I believe that true networking happens in the flesh.  But don't take this the wrong way - I like strategies like online marketing.  But I really do believe there is no replacement for shaking a person's hand and saying hello.  That's just too tough to copy. Anyway, I stormed up a list in my head that I think you'll like.  So here it is - 5 ways to recruit people for you opportunity at parties. 1. Be cautious of time and place.  You're not obligated to recruit every single human being you lay eyes on. 2. Don't pitch your business up front.  This is exactly how to get people to avoid you.  The key is to gain trust through some genuine friendship.  Try to hold the talk about business back a little - show some interest in them first. 3. Exchange your contacts through Twitter and Facebook.  And if neither of you has these accounts then it might look like you have something to talk about. 4. Ask probing questions - and then listen closely.  You can be surprised at what you learn about people just by listening closely.  People love to talk about their lives.  So listen in .  Use this time to build trust.  People like to work with people that they genuinely trust. 5. Be real - and be yourself.  Try your best not to use tricky scripts on people.  Laugh how you laugh - make the kind of jokes you're known for.  Believe me - people like working with real people.
