What's An App?
Some mobile phones or as they are called "smartphones", these days come with applications including games, utilities, productivity tools called 'Apps' (abbreviation for ‘Applications’) that are pre-installed from the manufacturer or developed by third party developers.

Why Should I Market My App or My Services?color]
In addition to the pre-installed apps from the mobile phone manufacturer, hundreds of apps are created everyday and added to the app stores (or application store) of Apple, Google, Nokia, Blackberry etc. Your app is just a drop in the ocean (!) which could fade into oblivion until somebody puts it where mobile phone users can find it.
Therefore, as an app owner or developer, there is a need to market your app or development company (or yourself) to the public and drive traffic to your website or appstore and generate revenues.

So What do I Have To Do To Get Noticed?

List your app, or your company (or just yourself as an individual) who develops apps for mobile phones. Investors or consultants who would like to advertise their services can also list on our website and drive traffic to their services. You can list on many different websites like our website www.mobile-apps.co.in or AppStoreApps, the Apple iPhone Apps blog, AppSafari, 148apps.com, AppCraver etc. The advantage of listing includes, apart from our website users who see your listing, search engines like Google and Yahoo will find URL's to your website and application and this factor helps improve the SEO ranking of your website/ app in the app stores.

Newly started websites like www.mobile-apps.co.in can offer free listings for a limited period while more established sites charge hefty fees as they get lots of traffic.
The trick of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) works in 2 ways –
1. Link from a highly valued (trafficked) source like 148Apps.com, but which is expensive, or
2. Lots of links from cheaper or free sites like mobile-apps.co.in.
For companies which can afford to pay the high listing fees, it may be worth while to list on expensive sites where traffic could be great but the listing could be temporary. However lots of individual developers, service providers could find the cheaper alternatives provide better traffic over an extended period.

The Bottom Line

Developing an app is the easy part. Marketing it is important to educate users about its existence, which leads to downloads and income($$$) . So go ahead and take the next step. List your app or service now!
