The newest driving technology will be available to view at the Paris Motor Show, say the organisers.

September 6, 2010 -- Driving enthusiasts may have already booked their Paris hotels to visit the Paris Motor Show later this year, which is set to show off a variety of new technological advances.

1 Cruze hatch

The 2010 Paris Auto Show will see the official unveiling of the Cruze hatch, with the full details and specifications released then, but we expect it to be entirely expected. Production of the new Cruze hatch will start in late 2011, with factories in "several countries" turning it out.

Offcially billed as a "showcar," the Cruze hatch shown here is the "precursor" to the production model, though again, we don't expect much in the way of changes in the translation to full-scale production.

2 Lotus Evora S and Citroen DS4

The forthcoming Paris motor show will have lots of show stoppers. But for now, the attention is focused on two cars – one is Lotus Evora S and the other is Citroen DS4. The Citroen DS4 is the recently developed version of the DS3. Both are developed on the platform of C4. Citroen says about it as, “a new at-the-wheel experience with unrivaled driving sensations and outstanding agile on-road handling.” This car is expected to go on sales later in 2011.

Firstly, why is there so much attention? The answer is that this car has the designing attributes of a coupe. It has four doors but the handles of the rear doors are hidden. It has a slopping roof. In the interior, it has noise damping technologies and richer chrome and lather combination. However, inside the top end model, there will be a ‘Bracelet’ design on the seats, like a watch strap, wow! So, the outcome is a stylish looking 2-door coupe. In reality though, it is a 5-door hatchback. Nothing more.

3 Mercedes Benz CLS

Mercedes Benz forayed into a new vehicle category in 2003 with the CLS, a perfect blend of an elegant Coupe and a functional saloon. Since October 2004, the car has been the choice of approximately 170,000 buyers across the globe. Taking a step ahead in terms of design, Mercedes Benz has rolled out the red carpet for its new CLS edition which will makes it world premiere at the 2010 Paris motor show. Like a feline predator on the prowl, the new CLS shows off flared wheel arches and a brawny sports-car like shoulder line above the rear axle.

Taking off from its predecessor, this new edition retains the classic Coupe fabrication with a unique front. A long bonnet with narrow-look windows accompanied by the frameless side windows should get any car lover excited. Add to this a dynamic roof that seems to stretch back at an angle towards the rear and there’s more to it than meets the eye. While the proportions haven’t changed, the second-generation CLS does get a completely new look. The car’s enhanced front fabrication grabs instant attention and reminds of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The radiator grille doesn’t appear to be infused into the bonnet and is formed separately, highlighting the sportiness of the bonnet.
