Even though the computer game consoles of today have taken over all of the old systems the PC games of today are still some of the #1 rated games on any platform. The way in which the PC works is dissimilar then what kind of graphics that you're going to have in your Xbox or Playstation. You'll have a motherboard with either single or double graphics card ability. If you've got an SLI ready motherboard then that suggests that you've got the best motherboard that money can buy and you also have the best graphics as well. You will be using two graphics cards over the power of one which can generally make your computer not only not lag but will make the image clearer then and at a higher definition and resolution. The big thing about PCs and playing video games on them is you can keep making upgrades to your personal computer without needing to buy a totally new machine. You can't however upgrade your other Nintendo game consoles and you have to wait normally 5 years or even longer for the next generation of the console to be developed. PC game-players are continually looking for the next-best piece of hardware to help them to get an edge in their online games. Heck, they will take a minor boost in a games frame refresh rate if it suggests digging out a few hundred dollars for a new video card or processor; with so many hardware configurations and different applications, what exactly is a hi-performance gaming computer? There is not any single PC that is going to outperform each other computer on the market. Sure, one computer could be optimised for high a high frame rate, but that might come at the price of being able to multi-task, while another PC may place emphasis on multitasking and having the ability to play a game at a lower frame rate while still being able to employ a internet browser. A truly high-performance gaming PC is one that has been optimised to perform as precise task, if it is playing one game (like Counterstrike), or playing a game and using a few applications (like World of Warcraft and a browser). These machines have been optimised to the point that doing something else - like multitasking - is deterred. The other benefit of PC games is that with a keyboard it gives you enough buttons to use for flight simulator controls. If you would like to truly play games on your P. C perfectly then you are going to be forced to spend some money to make the PC that you would like. You're going to need at least 2 gigs of RAM. A good graphics card as well. You just need to go to online and you'll be able to get a good gaming PC for under $1200. I mean everything that you would like and top of the line for that price.
