There are often questions about post-cycle therapy, some prefer to use Clomid, some Nolvadex or even combine these drugs.
In spite of almost similar structure of drugs, very few people really understand the difference between Clomid and Nolvadex and not only among those who spend a steroid courses, but also among physicians. Although these products have quite different purposes. Nolvadex is used primarily for the treatment of breast cancer in women, while Clomid is used to treat infertility in women. In bodybuilding Clomid is used as post-cycle therapy and Nolvadex as an anti-estrogen.

All of misunderstanding the difference between the drugs initially arose as a result of the fact that Nolvadex is much more powerful anti-estrogen than clomid. But only a few users understand the principle of Clomid (as well as Nolvadex) as a restoration of natural testosterone levels after application of anabolic and androgenic steroids.

Both, Clomid and Nolvadex are anti-estrogenic drugs and post-cycle therapy.

Clomid acts on estrogen receptors in the pituitary gland and ovaries. Linking estrogen receptors in the pituitary gland, tearing clomid negative feedback mechanism, ie if you normally estrogen, acting on the pituitary gland to decrease production of FSH and LH to the latter, when taking Clomid this is not happening. Directly on the estrogen levels clomid does not work. Nolvadex also has no effect on estrogen levels, because its mechanism of action is reduced to the blockade of different types of estrogen receptors, including the pituitary gland. Thus, on Clomid can be described as a selective (selective) blockers of estrogen receptors, as well as about Nolvadex is not a selective. If Clomid selectively binds to estrogen receptors, namely the pituitary gland and testes, the Nolvadex binds with them throughout the body. In this case, Clomid acts as an antagonist of estrogen, and eliminates their inhibitory effect on the hypothalamus and pituitary, contributing to more rapid recovery of function. Nolvadex by blocking receptors throughout the body, also contributes to the fact that the body started to recover own testosterone, but not directly as Clomid. It is important to note that the Nolvadex is able to block estrogen receptors in the pituitary gland, to a lesser extent than Clomid.

Both drugs are similar in structure and are classified as trifenyletilens. Nolvadex has a stronger effect because it can achieve results by reducing the level of estrogen in a dosage of 20-40 mg per day than the same Clomid, which the dosage should be 100-150 mg per day.

Anabolic steroids as GP Clomiphene (Clomid) and GP Nolva (Nolvadex) today are available online from official manufacturers at:
