Postcard Marketing with a Surprise Inside

Many people think postcard marketing has to be restricted to the same old 2-sided design: front, back, and you're done. Sure, a lot of times, that's all you need to get the response you want. But what about the times when you need to say MORE? Or show more? Or sell more? In those situations, it's time to stop thinking 2-D and start marketing three-dimensionally. Let's take your standard 6x11 postcard, for example. Without increasing the size of the mailing, you can double the amount of space you have for copy & design with an 11x12 postcard that folds into 6x11 size for mailing. Now, you have a front, back   and   an INSIDE. Pretty sweet, right? The postcard is mailed with a small piece of tape or sticker on the edge, so it stays closed until it's in the hands of your customers. You can use the same direct-response principles you use on your regular 2-sided postcard, except now you have twice as much room to: Tell more about your business Add more value to your promotions or offers Give more background about your company Add some really cool creative flair to WOW your audience   Remember, the postcard mails in the 6x11 size, so the mailing costs stay the same -- you're not paying extra to mail a folded 11x12. This is a very cost-efficient way to explain more about your business in a brochure-like mailing that has just as much impact as a regular   direct-mail postcard .
