Richmond, VA – July 8, 2011 – Author Latisha Patterson guides readers through the spin cycle of love with her latest work, Airing Out Dirty Laundry. Booklovers will soon relate to the proverbial laundry duties in life: separating the whites from darker items; reaching for bleach to white-out the grime from yesterday and preventing further bleeding of the darkest of the dark things. Infidelity, deception, love and lust…which of these are filled in your laundry bag?

Inspired by aspects of Latisha’s life, Airing Out Dirty Laundry describes the effects of long-term relationships riddled with secrets. Five girlfriends, Skye, Damisha, Kori, Jamyya and Jasmine, easily reminds readers of their own friends who are forced to come face to face with their secrets, skeletons which soon see the light of day.
We have once crossed paths with one of these women: a have-it-all-together Skye who has had it with her boyfriend; a childless Damisha who gets stopped in her tracks by a playa who sweeps her off her feet; a hair salon-owning Kori, whose seemingly devoted husband is caught in some babymommadrama; a Jamyya, a real yet bored housewife of Richmond; a Jasmine who falls head over heels for a man who is hiding the truth.
