As an entrepreneur, hoping to launch a new product or service to the world, an effective marketing strategy must be put into action. Marketing has long been recognized as an essential part of business as it attracts hoards of would-be customers to your doorstep. Whatever form it may take, it should have the ability to convince spectators of the good behind a certain subject. Otherwise, it there would be no use and profit in marketing.
When you search the internet for “profit marketing”, you would come across results for “non profit marketing” instead which makes no sense at all. To correct this, and deliver what researchers actually expect, I am creating this article. Hopefully, its contents will be able to help out aspiring entrepreneurs make the best out of their endeavors.
Profit marketing, as the name suggests, pertains to promotional activities that aim to increase the returns of the company. It can be cheap or expensive, depending on the materials and mediums used but it is guaranteed that there would an improvement in sales upon completion.
1. Mail Ads.
Print discount coupons or redemption coupons and send them out via mail to your target clientele. Also include a brochure or leaflet that has your company’s logo, information and product roster. People are encouraged to buy if they have access to sales and bargains. Giving them the impression that they can save on shopping or have won some something will encourage them to get out of their homes and visit your shop. Once they are there, there is a higher possibility for them to buy more products.
2. Phone Marketing.
Yes, telemarketing has received less enthusiastic reception over the years. But the problem really is not the method itself but the manner of delivery. Telemarketers sound annoying – either by being over optimistic, dragging or insensitive. If you plan to use this marketing method, take an unusual approach though maintaining an aggressive marketing stance. For example, when your target consumer has picked up the phone, introduce yourself (speed required as there is a high chance the call will be dropped in the minute)and ask, “ask me about our special offer.”
3. Downloadable Bargains.
When someone has purchased something from your shop, inform them of a special bargain they can achieve if they go to your website and encode their receipt code (or something). Aside from encouraging them to buy again from your store, you also drive more traffic to your website, making it more competitive online.
4. Email Newsletters.
Concentrating your marketing efforts on people who want them and have been loyal patrons to your business is a good way to drive in more profit. Newsletters are pretty cheap and you can do it at a weekly or monthly basis so it doesn’t take too much time. The secret of profitability is in the content of the newsletters. Be sensitive to your consumers. Don’t just market in all your newsletters. Write to them about something relevant and pitch in your product after. And every now and then, you can give a reward for being newsletter subscribers.
Profit marketing methods will not be that consistent in bringing in sales, all the time. So it is advisable to rotate them within the year. This way, consumers (especially the loyal ones) have something to anticipate for.
