RDS Services Posts January 18 ERRP Data Aggregation Webinar to Site

Tuesday January 18, 2011 RDS Services RDS Services LLC hosted an informational webinar to discuss the many of the challenging aspects of the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP). The focus of much of the discussion had to do with the importance of plan sponsors being able to properly aggregate data. As a leader in subsidy recovery RDS Services has assisted well over 65 plan sponsors in recovering subsidy money that they would have otherwise missed out on. Being immersed in ERRP since its launch with the health care reform act there was much in the webinar that RDS Services felt ERRP plan sponsor may be over looking.

The webinar started with a review of the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program . Points made about the program included how and why the program was established, updating how far along the program is today, and some points plan sponsors need to be aware of now that the program is in full swing. The presentation then got into the main focus of data aggregation and what plan sponsor should know about this step required by Health and Human Services to insure maximum subsidy is acquired.

The main topics regarding data aggregation included:

1. What Health and Human Services requires when submitting for reimbursement.
2. Who can be the data aggregator and what is expected.
3. Review of cost submissions and the reimbursement process.
4. Identifying eligible claims and all the aspects of what is considered being “eligible”
5. Rules HHS has in place to report cost data
6. Identifying and monitoring changes to early retiree members

The webinar concluded with a short question and answer period where plan sponsor representatives and their advisors could get clarification about any of the topics covered.
