What kinds of foods are the best for people’s health ? “ Health ” magazine published in the United States gives a briefing on “ The Best Recipe in the World ” written by Mark Bittman who is a famous columnist in New York Times. The book points out that there are ten kinds of foods are most beneficial to people’s health. Tomato is ranked number one. Many researches have found that Lycopene element contained in tomato can significantly reduce the chances of developing cancer, and it, best source of vitamin C, will automatically be released during cooking process. Raw tomato is also very good. The second recommended is spinach which is really in rich abundance of iron element and vitamin B. it can effectively prevent blood vessel disease and blindness disease. More attractive, a cup of spinach only contains 14 calories, so beauty-conscious ladies can rest assurance to drink it. The third are nuts including peanuts and almonds, which is best choice to prevent heart disease. They can not only increase good cholesterol, but reduce blood levels of triglycerides. The broccoli florets ranked number four is rich in carotene and vitamin C. Many studies have indicated that it can reduce chances of breast cancer, colorectal cancer and gastric cancer in the long-term. Chinese cabbage and bean sprouts are better choice. The fifth is oats which can reduce cholesterol and lower blood pressure if people eat oat meal everyday. Its rich fiber will make people have feelings of fullness and reduce the intake of other fatty foods to achieve the purpose of weight control The sixth recommended is salmon often used to prevent blood vessels blocking. The ingredients of Omega-3s contained in salmon can protect the aging brain to prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Garlic is numbered seventh in the list. Although it is hard to smell after eating garlic, it can combat heart disease through lowering cholesterol and clearing blood curing bacteria. Blueberry recommended the eighth consists of a high anti-oxidant in all fruits and vegetables. It has a variety of advantages, such as preventing heart disease and cancer, and improving brain power. Green tea, deeply loved in Asia , can prevent cancer. Regular consumption of greet tea decreases the probability of suffering from stomach, esophageal and liver cancers. Researches made in Japan also found that drinking 10 cups of greet tea a day can reduce the risks of developing heart disease. The tenth is red wine. Grape skin for brewing is rich in anti-oxidants , which has function of increasing good cholesterol and reducing hardening of the arteries. However, it is better not to drink a lot otherwise you will suffer from breast cancer and stoke. An increasing number of junk food like fast food is pouring into food market. Therefore, it is vitally important for consumers to choose healthiest food. Although junk food can save our time, I suggest people around the world pay much more attention to their healthy diet .
