Sharing My Experience of Making Toys for Kindergarten Kids

Nowadays, more and more kindergartens encourage teachers to make kids toys by themselves in addition to buy existing toys such as wooden toys, bus toys from toys shopping mall. During the making process, it can not only enrich the types of kids toys which are played by kids every day, but also, above all, take good advantage of rubbish and useless items, which is environmentally friendly.

After the semester begins for a while, the school principal put forward the suggestion that making toys by ourselves. To be honest, I don’t know how to resolve this problem at the beginning because this is my first year to teach kids as kindergarten a teacher. Then I ask for help from other teachers, they tell me that the toys you made should be suitable the children’s age feature and their strong point. After that, I collect lots of waste items and always think about how to make use of these items.

Before deciding to make toys, I collect too many relevant pictures online and learn from other people how to make toys by their own. It is an amazing process, I get useful information and inspiration from other people’s work. In my standpoint, you should not think how complicated it is, what you have to do is to think it simple and easy to finish. I recall which toys I have made when I was young because at that time there were no enough toys in the toys stores so that I had to make toys buy myself. OK, it is simple to make one parachute toy, what you have to do is collecting plastic bag and string.

Finally, along with other teachers, I have spent a short time to do dozens of parachute toys, more than the number of children. In order to get good performance when landing, we used plasticine to keep the balance. In the afternoon, there is gentle breeze and I lead all the kids in class to play with such hand-made parachute toys. To my surprise, all children feel more excited than imagine. During the playing process, children can not only get the pleasure, but also know the knowledge about how to landing better. What’s more, some children use their imagination to upgrade the parachute toys. For example, one of them proposes to run with the string on parachute toys, just like flying kites. It is a good idea. Obviously, there thinking ability is also developed from the process.
