You could spend a fortune on commercial products for your face, and some of them might work well, and others might not; however, when you are looking for beauty tips for face care, it's good to remember that simplicity is often best. Many of the products on the market today are based on very old ideas, expensively packaged, with some chemicals and artificial colors thrown in to enhance shelf life and sales appeal. There are lots of beauty treatments you can create at home cheaper and better than any commercial product.
Getting ample rest is one of many important beauty tips for face care. One very good way to get a little rest is to enjoy a soothing facial mask. This pleasant practice pampers your skin and gives you half an hour or so to simply lie back and close your eyes. This is an excellent time to meditate and/or listen to beautiful music. Using a refreshing, specially prepared beauty mask once or twice a week is an excellent rejuvenating practice that can address any skin problems you may have, from dry skin to oily skin.
Beauty masks come in many forms. You could choose a cream mask, a mud mask, an oil mask or a light gel. Your choice would depend upon your skin type and your age. For mature skin that may be dry, a cream or oil mask is a good choice. There are many DIY recipes for creating your own beauty creams and masks, or you could simply use natural oils such as sunflower oil, olive oil or vitamin E oil. Cream and oil masks nourish and moisturize dry skin.
Teens and young women usually find more benefit from a light gel or a mud mask, which work to dry and tone oily skin. You can purchase a mud mask preparation at a local health food store. Pure aloe gel, either from an aloe plant or purchased, makes an excellent healing, toning gel mask.
To get the full benefit of applying a mask, be sure to wash your face and throat gently with warm water and a gentle cleanser or soap before application. Before applying the mask, moisturize gently around the eyes with a light natural oil or moisturizing cream. Apply the mask gently to your face and throat in slightly firm, circular strokes. Work up from the throat to the forehead, avoiding the eye area. Apply the mask in a slightly thick layer. Once done, simply lie back and rest for half an hour.
Be sure to have a glass of cool, filtered water at your side to stay hydrated. Herbal tea is also an excellent choice. You may wish to place cold slices of cucumber, a cool, damp washcloth, or chilled dampened tea bags over your eyes for added benefit to the eye area and extra relaxation. When the half hour is up, rinse off the mask with warm water, then cool water. Use a good toner and moisturizer if needed.
In addition to the simple mask ideas above, you may want to explore more creative masks made with honey, cream, yogurt, avocado, bananas and a variety of other natural and beneficial edible ingredients. There endless recipes for DIY facial masks for you to explore. A quick online search will help you find a wealth of natural beauty tips for face care.
