There are several people who are worried whenever their puppies start to bite. This is the primary reason why they look for ways on how to stop puppy biting. We must realize that it is a normal behavior of your puppy especially when they grow teeth. This becomes painful to them and therefore the reason for nibbling and biting. This is the time when puppies start eating solid food. They see it to be a playful gesture.

Though it is seen as an ordinary behavior for puppies, biting can still be controlled or stopped. This is the owner’s responsibility to discourage puppies from biting and then make him mindful of the right biting behavior. We always see puppies as something cuddly and cute. Because they're young, they're not aware that they hurt once they bite. The thing they know is it is really a manifestation of their affection to their owner. Puppies are familiar with biting and yes it needs to be controlled.

As early as possible, puppies must be taught to not bite. It is better if you can stop puppies from biting before they reached the age of 4 months. If your puppy is left by their mother for 4 months, it could learn ways to stop biting. However, what usually happens is that they happen to be removed prior to the right time comes and so they usually are not taught well on how to stop puppy biting.

One method to help puppies stop biting would be to introduce the pup to other puppies or dogs. In this way, it'll learn lessons that its mother failed to teach prior to being taken away. When your puppy is permitted to have fun with all the other pups which also bite, he may not like it, and also stops biting others. You cannot teach your dog this lesson. It has to learn this from other puppies and eventually stop biting.

Allowing the dogs to socialize by their kind teaches your puppy not to be feared of other dogs. This also allows a puppy to let go of all its energy. After playing, you will be going home having a calmer puppy. Having more hours to play with other dogs gives a bigger chance your puppy will not nibble or bite.

Socialization is really important to puppies as this might help it stop biting issues. Two main reasons: aggression and fear. When not accustomed to being with other dogs, they develop fear within them and become aggressive thus they bite. Make certain you are familiar with this concept. Many of those who are not informed have a hard time controlling their puppy’s biting behavior.

There's a need to establish trust and respect between you and your puppy. Discipline is important but make sure that you don't shout at the pet. Hurting your dog physically will just make it more aggressive thus bites more. Discipline when it does wrong and reward your puppy and give affection when it behaves right. Loving your puppy is a good way if you want to learn how to stop puppy biting.
