SEO copywriting or writing matter for the search engines is a different kind of writing form that helps you create content that is reader-friendly. When done right, SEO copywriting is a creative way to include the critical keywords and key phrases that the search engines crave in an easy-to-read article or item that your site visitors will enjoy. This type of copywriting involves writing content with proper keywords. However, it is not nearly as rudimentary as just taking keywords and putting them into the article wherever you please; there is some structure to it. Major search engines like Google, Yahoo! and Bing are high on punishing websites that have content with overused keywords. The art of SEO copywriting blends good-quality writing with the proper amount of keywords and phrases used in with your relevant text. The big difference between normal copywriting and SEO copywriting is that it focuses not only on the viewers but it also weighs what sort of impact the writing will have on the search engines. The first thing you should do to maximize your search engine results is make sure that your key phrases or words are contained in the title, description and tags for your web page. Some marketers insist that you need your primary keyword in the domain name of the website too, but many sites get high page rankings even without this. Keyword placement is the most important factor as it is the factor that will determine the positions search engines place your website in relation to other sites with the same or similar keywords. Keyword placement in your content does not have to be a complicated or copious process to succeed. A good rule to go by is a maximum of three primary keywords and usage of the keyword at 3-5%. Before you begin your copywrite, you should research your market and find good keywords so you can be sure that you'll get high results on your search engine rankings. To optimize your content, you really should have your key phrases and words established prior to beginning your copy because this is vital in shaping your content.Subheadings and side headings are also good choices for keyword placement. This makes your website more user friendly as well as more SEO friendly. Synonyms and related words are good choices to use throughout your article to avoid excessive use of the keywords which lowers the quality of the article. Repeating the keywords too much will make your article seem fake and you'll lose readers. A ratio of 1:100 is appropriate and safe; in other words, utilize a single keyword for each 100 words in your content. Proof reading is a vital element that is often overlooked by the writer. You must edit your content every single time, after you are finished writing it. This stops any unknown spelling errors and grammar mistakes from creeping in. And also makes sure that the flow of the content is smooth. A lack of professionalism will be the impression given to the reader when errors are present.Last but not the least; keep in mind that the copy you will be writing is always about the reader who's reading it, it's not just about impressing the search engines. Even if you get a thousand unique visitors a day, if they're not converting, then it's of no use. Ensuring the readers have quality content to read will gain you both visitors and high ranking search engine status.
