If you are out of ideas on keeping your kids happy on summer, then choose from one of great summer events in Denver just for them. They can enjoy active learning in children’s museum, discover different animals in a zoo or aquarium, or cruise on a bike in parks or open spaces. Denver has more to offer even for the children who are difficult to be pleased.
Kids can engage themselves in a captivating world of butterflies and other insects found in the tropics at the Butterfly Pavilion, which is an insectarium full of different bugs and filled with thousands of butterflies. This conservatory establishment is a paradise for kids of all ages to stroll around, even with a viewing area for butterflies’ chrysalis.
Children’s Museum will definitely feed the curious minds of kids, with creative, fun and educational “playscapes” for kids to explore. Here, they can create stories and sums on the Alphabet Soup magnetic wall while dancing, singing, playing, and painting. There are puppets and bubbles for children to enjoy hanging around at the museum.
Kids can get some fresh air and see the sights and sounds of Denver on the historical Platte River Trolley, which is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The trolley ride is great for kids who cannot walk far. The ride starts at the Children’s Museum or the Downtown Aquarium, and your kids can lengthen their weekend summer events Denver has with a visit on either of these attractions.
The ride at Platte River Trolley lasts for twenty five minutes, which give kids a great and safe vista of the entire river, the Denver suburbia, urban wildlife and the INVESCO Field. Kids will truly enjoy summer events Denver has at Platte River Trolley.
If the kids want wild summer events Denver can offer, take them to Denver Zoo so that they can get up close and personal with various mammals, reptiles, insects and birds. Denver Zoo showcases its animals in natural environments with a stress on wildlife conservation and education. For a different view of the zoo, kids can go to Bunk with the Beasts for a sleepover or attend Zoo Camp during school breaks.
