The moment we hear “Tarot Cards” we conjour up an image in our minds of gypsies …crystal ball and magic. However, Tarot actually evolved from a simple card game in the1400s to a mode for fortune telling. A tarot card deck has 78 cards in it. The deck is divided into two parts. The major arcana ,which consists of 22 cards . The minor arcana has four suits of 14 cards each, so 56 cards in all. Each suit has the numbers one to ten, and four court cards, that is the King card, the Queen card, the Knight card and the Page card.

The Major cards reflect principal events in our lives. The minor cards tell us about our
circumstances, experiences and the direction in which we are headed.
