A camping vacation is a good idea to release your work stress and relax yourself both in body and soul, and is also the best way to get some fresh air, enjoy the outdoors and stay close to nature, away from noisy cities. A safe and joyful camping can adds colors and happiness to your monotonous routine. However, when enjoying the refreshing breath and fun brought by camping, you still have to keep in mind that safety always comes first. The following ten notes will guide you how to camp safely. 1. Try to set up your tent in the hard, flat field, don’t pitch the tent beside the bank or in the dry bed of rivers; 2. The entrance to the tent should be on the leeward side, and do stay away from hillsides with rolling stones; 3. Dig a ditch just below the sideline of the top of the tent, in order to prevent your tent being flooded when it rains; 4. Press the four corners of the tent with big stones; 5. Maintain good ventilation, do carefully to prevent ignition when cooking inside the tent; 6. Check out all the flames before going to bed, and make sure that the tent is fixed firmly; 7. Scatter kerosene around the tent to prevent insects’ entry; 8. Face the tent to south or southeast. It’s a good choice to see the sunshine in the morning, and try not to camp at the edge of a ridge or the top of the hill; 9. Pitch your tent in a groove at least, not on the banks of streams, so as to protect you from coldness; 10. Select grassland, sand or debris with good drainage to camp.
