The Mitsubishi Raider
The Mitsubishi raider is one of the most reliable vehicles on the market when it comes to owning or purchasing a midsize truck. The 2011 model will continue to wow Mitsubishi lovers as its specification and continued sworn reliability suggests that it can measure up to its similar counterparts in any pickup lineup. The Raider poses as an alteration of Dodge Dakota through the two car manufacturers Chrysler and Mitsubishi. The Raider is recognized as one of the most reliable off road vehicles since its emergence in 2005.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Raider
In 2005 Mitsubishi, a major Japanese car manufacturing company teamed up with the US company Chrysler to create what would become the Dodge Raider. This model pickup was simply a remake of the Dodge Dakota. The 2011 model like all the other Raider vehicles is manufactured by Chrysler. Because of low sales, the Japanese branch of the company had discontinued the raiders after the 2010 series. The so-called partnership between these two companies ended in 2010 but the US company decided to forge ahead with a 2011 model by moving from the Dodge Dakota to the Mitsubishi Raider.
The Raider has some slight alteration from the Dakota design but still manages to maintain its reliability and stability. The new model is built with the same V6 engine that has enough power for off road conditions. The raider/Dakota is still able to carry heavy loads and has tremendous towing abilities. This pickup will withstand treacherous roads while maintaining its name for having the same luxuries as a large sedan as it is built with all the modern amenities for vehicles. It has been described as being a “well equipped modern pickup truck” by Dodge. Though built for rugged terrain, it still has the feel of a large luxury car which adds to the comfort of owning the pickup.
Reliability of the new raider
There are many salvage yards that hosts a great deal of recycled or used Raider engines that are just as reliable as brand new ones. Mitsubishi lovers have an option to either upgrade to the new raider or buy a used Dodge (v6) engine if their engine is faulty but the body or the rest of the truck is still intact. Buying a used Raider engine might be a useful option if you are reluctant to give up your truck for this new model.
