The 6 main reasons people fail at online network marketing

But did you know that there is probably good reason for it andit does not follow what you read online about how easy it is to make money, howquick, and how much work would be involved. For the purpose of this article, Iam only going to discuss the online stuff. I could do another whole articleabout offline network marketing, but that’s for another time.   Here are the 6 main reasons people get frustrated and giveup:   Time – success is just not happening quick enough. You read about how all these people out there are making lots of money after very little time online. But, exactly how accurate is that? In reality, it takes a good 6 – 12 months of HARD work to see results and to see any real money coming in. A lot of people give up before they ever got started and quit 1-3 months in or jump to another opportunity thinking it will be better there. But, again, it’s still going to take time even in that new opportunity. Did you know that any ad campaign that you run takes a good 2 – 4 months to actually start working. And that is if you consistently run that same ad campaign. It takes the average person 7 – 9 times to see something before they sign up for it.   Company replicated web site – when you signed up with your MLM, you got a company replicated web site. Sometimes they are free and sometimes you pay quite a bit of money for them. But, did you know, that they are useless for promoting online? They are not unique, they do not advertise YOU, and you cannot even get them to rank on the search engines. You are better off creating a blog and linking it back to your business or creating a squeeze page and linking it back to your business.   Money – many people run out of this rather quickly while promoting online and then discouragement kicks in or they just don’t have the upfront money to begin with. There are very few opportunities out there that require no money at all. There is going to be some investment on your part. Maybe you have done some marketing, but gave up before seeing any real results. If you have spent money, that’s fine. Everyone actually has to go through trial and error to see what works for them online. Don’t think of it as wasted money, but as an education and investment.   Activity level – it takes work. If you are not active online while promoting online, no one is going to join you. It’s simple. If you are part of a social network, get active on it, meet other people, share your ideas. If you are getting people to visit your web site but not signing up, figure out how to capture their information so that you can either call them or put them into an autoresponder system to drip on them about you and your opportunity.   Education – very rarely does someone come online and start seeing success right away. You have to be trained to do what you do. If you have an upline that is not very helpful, find another way to learn your business or seek out experts in online network marketing and subscribe to their courses to learn all you can. If you cannot afford to be trained, then get your hands on the free ebooks out there or the free training courses that some of the top gurus offer. It will take time to learn, so take your education seriously.   Passion for your company/product/opportunity – you have to have some passion for what you do, otherwise how are you going to convince others to join you. You may have to go through a couple of opportunities to find the one that is right for you. Think of if this way. If money is your only motivator, you are going to burn out very quickly. Find what you enjoy, that excites you and brings in the money, and you will find success through time and effort.
