In Augustthere is the annual Harley Davidson rally “Thunder in the Glen”. It isadvisable to book early as this is a popular event with bike enthusiasts. InSeptember there is the “Carve Carrbridge” Scottish Open Chainsaw CarvingCompetition which attracts competitors from all over the UK. In October thereis the world “Porridge Making Championships” in Carrbridge, Inverness-shire.There are also the Highland games which can be seen in many of the villagesduring the summer months.   The Cairngorms National Park stretches from Grantown-on-Speyto the heads of the Angus Glens and is easily reached by air either byInverness or Aberdeen or by train directly into Aviemore. Those driving fromEdinburgh or Glasgow can reach the Cairngorms National Park in just 2 hours.   Cairngorms National Park has a great selection of qualityguest houses and bed and breakfast accommodation.
