Of course we all want to have a great job (our dream jobs). But in reality right now that really isn't possible for so many people (and may not be for a few years to come). A lot of people are graduating college right now or have been laid off of work and they are finding out that they aren't able to get what they are qualified for. For right now though people are just going to have to take what they can get in order to make ends meet until they can find what they really want to do, but who knows how long that will even take. A few years ago (maybe even less) people had their dream jobs in mind but now their main dream really is to find a job at all. People went to college and dreamed and planned and mapped out their career goals and now they are finding themselves without jobs (and being over qualified for them). If you have a job right now you are a lucky person and you really should be thankful. The focus on careers has shifted from finding the perfect job for you and what you are all about and have passion for to just making ends meet and doing whatever you can to get money for you and your family. Hopefully you will be able to find something until that dream job comes along and then you can move right into it. You need to do anything and everything that you can do right now to put yourself ahead of the game and make yourself stand out from everyone else that is applying for the same job that you are. It is rough out there right now and making yourself better than everyone else is what you need to do.
