I've been using Microsoft's flight simulator over the past several years and was rather happy with the performance and features. But that
was only until I started using Flight Simulator Plus. Initially, it took a little while to go through the manuals and understand how it works,

In my case, the auto start feature came to the rescue, and you can start any of the 150 real aircraft models using the auto start feature,
pretty simple. Every plane is actually the virtual model of the real aircraft, including the controls that you can setup with the working, clickable cockpit.

If you have the deluxe version of FSP, you get to download and use the entire world, which is a 10 degree by 10 degree scenery that mirrors the real world. So it's really like flying a real plane in real scenery.

You also have the option to set the weather to your liking. Add a storm, rain, wind, fog or just about any weather condition, and you can experience it, just like in real life. In fact, you can also set it up to collect REAL WORLD weather data. That means, if you are taking off from Heathrow airport in the UK, you can actually fly in actual real world weather. FlightSimulatorPlus takes care of getting real world weather for you.

And did I mention that it comes packaged with over 20,000 real world airports? You just select any airport, even your local airport, and you can start flying over your locality. I really want to fly over my home once I get around it. I'm planning to try the multiplayer mode this week.. so will post more details. I checked out the multiplayer map (it's actually Google maps) where there were several pilots flying in formation. Waiting to try that!
