You must set achievable goals if you are serious about losing weight permanently. Most of us will not plan goals at all and just hope to shed the extra weight quickly. The faster they shed the pounds, the better. Usually there is no thought to how long it should take to lose the weight the healthiest way.
Step One - Diet: It is easy to be sucked into weight loss pill and fad diet advertising to promise the world. Chances are that you will lose a few pounds but keep in mind that this will not be all fat loss. Most of these types of diets will make you lose water and muscle, rather than fat. This weight loss tends not to be long-term and is considered unhealthy by most.
Forget fad diets, just start eating the right foods to drop enough pounds to become your ideal body weight. This way you can ignore the misleading diet information and more importantly, not have to starve. Just remember to eat a balanced diet combined with an effective exercise routine to start shifting that unwanted weight. Forget sugar aswell and learn how to stop craving sugar.
Get yourself focused on just healthy eating by forgetting the term 'dieting'. To start with, swap any fizzy drinks you consume with water to keep you hydrated, without putting on extra calories. Stay away from the low-calorie labelled fizzy drinks because they are still bad for you. They are lacking fructose which not only makes them taste average but leads you to crave for sugar.
You should also switch to wholegrain wheat flour instead of plain white flour. Wholegrain wheat is low in fat and packed with protein and fibre, which will help you continue to lose weight and teach you how to become skinny.
Step Two - Exercise: It is a little known fact that weight training can aid in quick weight loss. Weight training can be used by men and women, and despite what you may think, you will not lose your femininity if you are a woman. To produce muscles like a bodybuilder, you must have a hormone called testosterone, which women have little of.
Exercises by themselves will not allow a bodybuilder to build muscle. They require the assistance of protein shakes and supplements to achieve large muscles.
Exercising is not just all about weight loss either. Exercising regularly will enable you to have much more energy at the end of the day. You will also be able to sleep better. You can help your immune system and overall stamina. And lastly, exercise can improve your skins health, tone and appearance.
