Illegal drugs are becoming a huge problem in the world. One would typically think that after the financial crisis drug use would go down but it hasn’t. Over 35% of the people living in the United States the United States are illegal drug abusers. The ugly truth about illegal drug abuse is that this figure is growing.
On one hand, this truth may seem very far fetched due to the financial crisis. But the fact remains is that illegal drug users rarely is their own money to buy their drugs. Either they steal the drugs or steal to buy the drugs.
On the other hand, this figure seems to be logical again due to the financial crisis. The loss of money, homes, property and eventually food is enough to depress anybody. The problem is that illegal drug abusers look to illegal means of suppressing the depression rather than healthier alternatives.
Regardless of the reason, the ugly truth is that the number illegal drug abusers are increasing rapidly and so are the social, financial and personal problems associated with them. Not only do these abusers hurt themselves but all those around them and can potentially put the entire family or household into a financial crisis.
