Schools frequently use educational trips to supplement classroom work for children of all ages and there are plenty of resources available in Australia’s cities to provide an educational day or longer.
A bus charter in Sydney will put classes within reach of the many educational facilities including Sydney Harbour, the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Opera House. All three offer a variety of educational programmes.
The Botanical Gardens offers a number of themed environments including Tropical Lowlands, Montane and Australian Rainforest housed in the Tropical Centre. There are also the First Encounters Garden, Herb Garden, Rare and Threatened Garden and the Heritage Palm Grove.

The Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan, is the native garden of the Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust and includes various lakes and plus the open Cumberland Plain and woodland for studying and exploring habitats as well as teaching bush awareness. Further afield is the Trust’s The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden a venue surrounded by the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
The Opera House also hosts educational programmes for schools at both primary and secondary level and the Harbour Trust offers excursions to Curriculum-aligned excursions to Cockatoo Island, Australia's most unusual urban park in the middle of Sydney Harbour and to North Head Sanctuary, located in the former School of Artillery near Manly.
Newcastle, also in New South Wales, offers a different kind of experience and is also accessible for classes using coach charter Newcastle. In addition to its beaches and coastal walks the city is home to perhaps the highest concentration of artists among its population making it a good place for a study of both current, regional and indigenous art. History is the focus for a visit to the Fort Scratchley Historic Site located just on Nobby’s Beach near the city of Newcastle.
Over on the West Coast in the state of Western Australia, one of Perth’s most popular attractions for study trips via bus charter in Perth is the Zoo, which is home to several endangered species. Further afield schools can use bus charter from Perth to access the rolling hills and valleys, wineries and orchards and the natural Australian bushland to learn the skill of bushwalking.
A coach or bus charter from a reputable company can make it possible for school staff to organise educational trips with the confidence that the company is aware of all occupational health and safety issues, and risk assessments required to keep children safe and happy when they are away on excursions from their school base.
