Viral advertising isn’t just a buzzword these days; it’s an online marketing phenomenon you can make lots of money with. The thing is most people don’t know how to break into viral marketing, and that’s because it can beinsanely difficult…especially if you are trying to sell people a line of crap.
That’s cause most forms of marketing are purely about selling, and viral marketing is just about interest. Viral marketing is almost entirely fueled by cool videos, memes, and things that don’t quite translate well to sales. But there is a kind of viral marketing that cansell: so here are three methods we’ve found that you must look into.
1. Twitter is just made up of viral marketing - Retweets, follow Fridays, and anythinganybody does on Twitter can get viral, especially when it comes to marketing. So if you are not investing some time into Twitter, you’re not benefitting from free advertising. Other well knownmarketers, like Chris Cobb, are largely on Twitter-so yes, it’s worth your time.
2. YouTube isn’t always a sure investment - YouTube is the birthplace of viral anything, and that means every onlinebusiness out there is trying for a web presence on the giant site. However, there are a lot of easy mistakes to be made-and if there’s one thing about viral marketing you should realize, it’s that it can backfire when handled the wrong way.
3. Organic SEO isn’t all thatanymore - More and more people are hearing about search engine optimization, but these days, it’s not as vitally important as you happento think. Organic SEO, on its own, trends more towards viral advertising since it’s so easy for potential customers to post links on sites like Facebook or Twitter. Instead of letting people find your site by accident, log on to Facebook and Twitter-and be the salesforce that tells them about your website.
