TLF Announces Worldwide Finalist for Sixth Annual Art, Essay and Poetry Invitational

May 20, 2009 -- It’s all about LOVE and CREATIVITY in global proportions! The Love Foundation hosted its annual international Art, Essay, and Poetry Invitational in honor of Global Love Day on May 1, 2009. Each year, students, schools and anyone young at heart, are invited to submit their original pieces based on the theme of “Love Begins With Me.” Entries come from around the world representing various countries and cultures.

The Finalists for this year's Invitational have just been announced. Director's Award for Art, Saadia Munir of Pakistan; Director's Award for Poetry, Ogbonnah Kingsley Francis of Nigeria; Director's Award for Essay, Tasha Halpert, USA. Honorable Mentions for Art, Shiza Khalid of Pakistan; Poetry, Antony Perera of Saudi Arabia; and Essay, Eva V. Mina of the Philippines.

The Invitational encourages children of all ages to share their creative expression of unconditional love in one or more of the main categories. Each submission should reflect a universal understanding of love, unity, respect, compassion and represent the idea and main theme of Global Love Day. The review process, conducted by the Board, seeks an overall feeling that each submission conveys and is not based on technical expertise. There is no fee.
