Traveling Is Really Fun

Working almost 12 hours a day for the past two months is really getting on my nerves. But what can I do I am just an employee and the company is paying me well. As a bachelor, I love the comfort of life. I have a car and two-bedroom house which I share with my dog Maxwell. In short, I could not ask for anything more at this stage of my life.

Living alone is alright with me. The last time I had a serious relationship was with Maggie, an executive at an HVAC company. She was beautiful and smart – my dream girl. We shared my passion for traveling. We have been to Japan, India, Indonesia, Romania, France and Canada. Our travels were really great and full of great memories. Unfortunately, we had to part ways because of her work. She was assigned by her company for over a year in England. She had to attend to some offshore problems that were critical to their operations. There were some issues about supplies of their company’s money maker products, which included door air curtainunits, ductless mini split air conditioners and gas furnace systems.

As expected, Maggie hat to attend to her work. She did go to England, but after six months the toll on our relationship could not be ignored. We parted amicably. She remains overseas. I guess it was the best decision for both of us. We sometimes write to each other. We continue to remain as friends, calling each other on our birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year days.

Anyway, this is not about Maggie. What I want to share is the happiness when you are on the road and experiencing different cultures. We need to get out of our comfort zones from time to time. Seeing and feeling how other people live makes me appreciate that we can easily go to other countries easily although some hassles and inconveniences are common along the way. We should be open to embrace each other because that makes us human. The oneness with other cultures is just there waiting for us to take an active role. I really suggest you travel and get the first hand experience of the joys it offers. You will definitely not regret doing it.
