Many people overlook the significance of blogging as an aspect of social networking. It is blogging that initially gives people information about your business and its nature, which would ultimately lead them to your website or your social network profile.

Blogs can be used not only to maintain an online journal but also to effectively share information, commentary, videos, pictures, and other types of content that can be useful to a lot of people on the internet. There are different kinds of blogs about all things and topics like politics, fashion, parenting, information technology, cosmetic surgery, and many others.

Humans are inherently inclined to share their experiences and knowledge to other people and blogging is the most accessible way to do so. One aspect of social network development that is fostered through blogging is the formation of communities of people who subscribe to the same beliefs and interests. The blog becomes a cyberspace where people of like, and occasionally, unlike minds meet. Through blogs, an amazing number of social networks are formed.

As mentioned earlier, blogging has many genres and uses. One important use of blogging nowadays is real time journalism. It is a quicker means to get breaking news, and at the same time an effective portal for the discussion of current events. News blogs undergo all forms of social network development processes to be able to perform their duty more efficiently.

Blogging is one of the first fruits of Web 2.0 or the internet technology that allows user interaction in terms of content. Not only does blogging enable users to publish their opinions on the World Wide Web in their own accord and space, it also permits other people to react to it. This gives way to other more latent and effective forms of social network development.

Blogging has revolutionized the delivery and enforcement of public opinion. The blogosphere, or the interconnection that all blogging communities create, is a humongous cloud of information waiting to be consumed by users, and at the same time a binding force that aids social network development through connecting people from all over the world, regardless of class, race, age, and gender.
