Volunteer at OrtoArte Dental Office in Ecuador

Orto Arte works to provide affordable dental care and education to all people, while also working with Medical Center El Labrador, funded and run by el Club de Leones (Lions Club). Orto Arte volunteer their time and supplies at this center three mornings a week, offering dental care to those who cannot afford to go to privately run institutions. Orto Arte works with all people, focusing on providing the necessary medical care needed person by person, regardless of an individuals economic background. The doctor is the only person working in his office, and when he works at the clinic, he also works alone. He could use assistance to aid him in being more efficient, and allow him to see more patients per day.
Volunteers can help by doing following tasks:
Volunteers would be able to assist the doctor in his daily work, including check-ups, cleanings, surgeries, etc. Other tasks that you may be requested to preform outside of your core duties: During times when there aren't patients, volunteers can assist the doctor with other more administrative tasks around the office, such as updating charts and other forms of paperwork. Volunteers specializing in medicine or health are preferred, however those specializing in science are also welcome. People who have a hard time seeing different medical conditions, or dealing with people hands-on may have a hard time at this placement.
