Volunteering in Nepal for orphan education

We are non Profitable non governmental, non political Organization registered in Government of Nepal and affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC). This society is our own initiation and running by our own contribution believing that a drop of water is the source of ocean, founded by social activist. The mission of us is to encourage volunteers (national and international) to contribute in children’s education and sustainable community development that benefits the needy, underprivileged, poor people and community with own satisfaction.
By volunteering we want to share new perspectives and ideas that will ultimately change lives and communities. Volunteering in different sectors is meeting with different sectors’ people, which gives chance of interaction and explore the things.
By doing volunteering, we are opening new horizon for poor, needy and underprivileged children. Because our primary aim through volunteering is to educate children with providing chance for foreign volunteers to expose Nepali society. education is the main tool to march them for their destination.
In Nepal , there is two type of education – one is Nepali Medium run by government and another is English medium run by privately , qualitative than government . Due to poverty, various misconception and conflict children are not getting even chance for government education. Which is primary right of children. We believe, by birth all children are equal and can grow with equally capable in his/her inner interest, if they get chance to flourish in like environment. We are opening new horizon for poor, needy, underprivileged, orphan children by giving them shelter having homely environment, so that children do not feel them helpless or orphan. We are giving quality education which is our 1st motto. We are nourishing them, providing cloth and doing medical care when necessary. So, that buds can bloom fully with fragrance for society.
Our sole dream is to give quality education for haves not children through haves children. We are dreaming to establish our own school and our own children's home. In school our children and outsider children also study and income from outsider children will help to run school and earning from outsider children will also help our children to get higher education as they continue. In children's home helpless and very poor orphan children sit for education.
We are waiting to meet planners who will support for children to take education in their own school. But now, due to constrain of resources , we will give till high school level education for children and some vocational technical (like computer, auto mechanical, sewing, etc) training which makes them able to earn for their life.
Within short period of span we served more than 33 volunteers from different countries like UK, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Australia,Netherland etc. Volunteers who stayed with us were involved in teaching english,Orphan care and education, medical field, Farming,Home stay.
We have currently volunteer opportunities available in several parts of Nepal. Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational and community aid programs. This will give you a chance to make an important contribution to the people of Nepal and while doing so gain an in depth experience of the country and its culture, that will stay with you the rest of your life.
We do not ask for any formal qualifications from our volunteers. All we ask is that you have a genuine desire to help people and willing to experience new culture and lifestyle.
we are mainly working on following field.

1.Orphan Child Care and education program :-
we are caring and educating school aged poor,helpless and orphan children. so main duties of volunteers are helping their studies,going school with them and taking class for all student. They all are in primary level and have Math, Science,English,Social studies subjects. This is weekday program , 5-6 hour /day.our children are really funny so volunteers are not only engaged in teaching and learning but need to join sing / dance / fun and outing also. Now we have 7 children of below 14 age .
2.Farming Program
volunteer can help farmer by doing work in field and sharing idea about the farm. we are organic farm friendly.This is the real way to gain experience of Nepali villager's life.In this program volunteer should stay in farmer's house and should work in farm . This program is also flexible , volunteer can join according to their time and can join seasonal work of local field.
3.Home Stay program :- Another way of interacting with Nepali community . You can see and localized yourself with Nepali people, Nepali culture , Nepali food . You can experience Nepali hospitality and entire Nepali life. Now This program is running in Bandipur , (one of the best tourist destination of Nepal, around 180 Km west From Kathmandu ) and Chitwan ( A place of Jungle safari , crowded tourist destination of Nepal, Around 200 Km south from Kathmandu ).
