We are in an age where depletion of water in the world is taking place at an alarming rate. We do not have any option other than saving it by using it like conscious consumers of water. Usually, people do not give attention to the leak as they think only a drop of water is leaking. The most common sources of leaks is the bathroom and the kitchen leaks. Look for excessive dampness or water puddles under the sink.
The leaks in the toilets are usually soundless and hence hard to detect them. If they get avoided or undetected, they leak 90,000 gallons of water per month and thus add approximately $500 to your water bills. This can be easily controlled by applying a simple test; place some drops of color dye in the tank and see the bowl after an hour, if the color appears in the bowl, tank is leaking otherwise not.
Leakage from faucets is responsible for wastage of approx. 180 gallons of water per month. Faucets leakage can be easily stopped by just replacing the worn out valves or damaged washers with the new parts. This leakage is very common in home and offices and is also easily repaired.
Water leak detection at an early stage will save your pocket from huge water bills and costly water related damages. This will also help the environment.
