The only thing that search engines acknowledge is the content. So keep that in mind when designing or redesigning your site.

2. Do not forget to submit.

Make sure to submit your site to the major search engines such as Google,Yahoo and Bing.

3. Remember content is king!

The content on your site must be relevant and should contain useful information.

4. Last but not least update update update.

Keep the information on your site fresh. Search engines love to see fresh information on a site, which will increase your ranking. Try to at least update your site once a week to make sure search engines pick up on the change.
