From the enchanting hills, mountains and woods of the Cairngorms National Park to the lush gentle landscapes that eventually disappears into loch Lomond; Scotland’s rugged beauty is full of depth and intrigue.

If you are travelling around this wonderful country, you will never tire of the scenery which is unpredictable in its countless guises. In fact if Scotland was a human being it would be diagnosed as suffering from a sort of schizophrenia. Every single piece of land; be it one of the mountains or lochs has many faces depending on the time of day, where the sun is, how light or dark it is, and from what angle you looking at it from. The Highlands in particular is a patchwork of shadows and shapes that can beguile and haunt.

The cities on the other hand are vibrant. They are home to great football clubs with some of the most passionate and feisty fans in the United Kingdom. You can wine and dine at a new place every night for most of the year and feel satisfied, knowing that your money has been well spent every time.

The music scene is eclectic, progressive and more cosmopolitan than you might imagine, given the number of migrants living in the country. Scotland’s fabled pasts is also intriguing to say the least. Cathedrals, museums and art galleries may not be in abundance compared to London, but what is on offer is more about quality than quantity.

Interspersed between the lively cities are the coastal villages and thriving market towns which are full of their own unique character. From those that seem to sell more tartan, to than whiskey to the snowy peaks that cater for winter sports enthusiasts.

In short any hotel breaks Scotland offers for the thousands of tourists that visit every year is value for money - so long as you do your research before hand and make sure you pick a holiday which is right for your interest and needs. Look up Short Breaks Scotland; they have a lot of great vacation deals.
