What Life at the White House will be like for Sasha and Malia Obama

It is funny how things have changed at the residence of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. We are witnessing a special event I thought I would never see in my lifetime. A black family now occupies the White House because Barack Obama, a black man, has been sworn in as the president of the United States. Another thing we are not used to seeing is the fact that the president's kids are very young and will live with him while he is in office. The president's two daughters, Sasha and Malia, will now live a life that is vastly different from that of other children. This article discusses what things should be like for Sasha and Malia Obama while they are living in the White House.

Sasha and Malia now have a black male Portugese Waterdog named Bo. The girls will probably house train Bo, play with him on the White House grounds and take him for walks.

Michelle Obama, the first lady and mother of Sasha and Malia, is growing a vegetable garden on the White House grounds and getting children involved in this endeavor. We can expect Sasha and Malia to help their mother and other children out with the gardening duties. This will be a grand opportunity for the first girls to become friends with plenty of other children and learn a lot of different things about various cultures.

Sasha and Malia will probably play with their friends and receive visits from them at the White House. It is unlikely the first girls will go to their friends' houses to play because they require constant Secret Service protection and the parents of their friends will probably not want them to come to their homes while being accompanied by Secret Service agents.

Sasha and Malia will probably start dating young men within a few years. If the two girls ever do go out on a date, they will probably be chauffeured by Secret Service agents and have at least one Secret Service agent with them for the entire duration of the date.

Sasha and Malia will not receive a free ride while occupying the White House. Based on what Michelle said prior to the inauguration, the girls will have to do chores.

Sasha and Malia will never have to worry about being bullied or picked on by other children. The first girls will surely be accompanied by Secret Service agents at all times, even at school. Sasha and Malia will probably always ride in a limousine or their father's bulletproof, bombproof vehicle.

The first girls might not have total privacy. The media might sometimes try to interview them. Fans of the first family might sometimes seek autograph signatures from Sasha and Malia.
