How Women Cope With Men!?
As is well known, the human brain has a left side and a right side, but it is not well-known among the general public that the two sides are programmed to perform different functions, and why that is so.
There is growing evidence that sexual gender, the language one first learns as a child, and the culture in which one is raised play primary roles in determining which side of the brain is engaged at particular times.
There is also evidence that the number of vowels in the vocabulary of a particularly language has a fundamental influence on the programming of the two sides of the brain. The more vowels [a, i, u, e, o] in individual words the more the programming emphasizes the right side of the brain—the side that processes emotions and feelings.
What is particularly fascinating about this factor is that the two languages that have the most vowels are the Japanese language and Polynesian. Spanish, Italian and the other so-called Romance languages are apparently next among the world’s major languages with a relatively high percentage of vowels.
This means that people who speak vowel-heavy languages are more emotional… giving more credence to feelings, than do people who speak English, German, Chinese, Russian and so on—with the Japanese and Polynesians being at the top of the “feelings-first” list.
In Which Side of Your Brain Am I Talking To? the author addresses the different cross-cultural problems that arise from this linguistic factor…and the very real advantages that accrue to the Japanese because of the preponderance of vowels in their language. [Approximately one-half of all Japanese words consist of vowels.]
The book also explains why women must use the right side of their brains to deal with men. It is available to the trade from Ingram Book Company.
