You will have probably read many times on the internet that developing your business online is going to solve all the challenges you might face.

This is true to a certain extent, it can't solve every problem as mlm is a people's business, you will still need to get up off the computer and connect with prospects. I doubt you will get the most success you could if you hide behind your computer for the rest of your life. There will come a time when you will have to connect with people.

The internet does make a very good communication tool where you can communicate on mass. Email, videos, audios, webinars, conference calls, social networking sites are all great ways to contact your prospects and team members. Nothing is better than a telephone call or face to face meeting though. Unless you are lucky enough to come by a network marketing pro, then you are going to have to build some solid sponsoring skills in order to formulate a big team.

So what can the internet help us with right away in our business? Well it can help us generate leads and cash flow that's for sure.

If you're going to follow this route then you are going to need a scientific sales funnel, one that's proven to work. There's no shortage of systems available, although you might have to search around a bit for one that is specifically designed for mlm marketers. If you can find a funnel that is designed by someone that who has experiential knowledge of how to sponsor in the MLM industry, then you are on to a winner.

You also want to make sure that you are able to set it up so that it advertises you. From the very first time someone lands on your page they need to start becoming familiar with YOU, not the guy that designed the system and not a company.

OK so you find a good system, what's next? You need to master traffic generation Traffic can be tough to come by in regular amounts and stumps a lot of people. There are really only two ways to go...you pay for it, or you work for it. Personally I worked for traffic and started my own blog. It was hard work but well worth it.

Hopefully you will be getting some leads in once you are generating visitors to your sales funnel, next it's time to start tweaking your campaigns to get the best conversion rates. It's important to do this after you are getting traffic, some people spend ages tweaking a funnel that doesn't get any visitors, which is pointless.

The last part of the puzzle is to actually make some money. This can be affiliate commissions for products you recommend to them, the good thing here is that you can actually make money even from people who don't join your MLM. Of course you want to work hard to convert your leads into active distributors in your team.

This will still take relationship building and sponsoring skills plus personal contact.

If you want to build your MLM online, then it can be done. But you still need to be willing to put in the human effort required of personally connecting with people.
